The annual Fallout Day broadcast from Bethesda delivered a mix of highly anticipated news and a dose of reality for fans hoping for a modern remake of a franchise classic. While the dream of a Fallout: New Vegas Remake was put on ice, the stream provided plenty for Vault Dwellers to look forward to, headlined by a new definitive version of 2015’s mainline title.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition and Switch 2 Debut

The biggest announcement celebrated the 10th anniversary of Fallout 4 with the reveal of the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. This new package will serve as the most complete version of the game, including:

  • The base game with all of its post-launch enhancements.
  • All six official add-ons (Automatron, Far Harbor, Nuka-World, and the three Workshop expansions).
  • Over 150 curated pieces of Creation Club content (now rebranded as “Creations”), including new weapons, Dogmeat breeds, quests, and more.

The Anniversary Edition launches on November 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. For current owners of Fallout 4, a separate “Anniversary Upgrade” will be available for purchase to access the bundled content.

Crucially, Bethesda also confirmed that Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. This marks a major debut for the mainline RPG series on a Nintendo console, following the massive success of the Fallout TV show in driving new franchise interest.

No New Vegas Remake, But an Epic Collector’s Bundle

Despite the intense fan speculation—and a massive online campaign—for a Fallout: New Vegas remaster or remake to celebrate its own 15th anniversary, Bethesda offered a non-game alternative: a physical Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Bundle.

The collector’s item, available for pre-order, includes a range of nostalgic physical merchandise:

  • A detailed 8″ Victor Securitron Statue.
  • Doc Mitchell’s Evaluation Cards.
  • A Vault Boy Enamel Pin and two embroidered patches (Mojave Express and NCR Recon).
  • A throwback Collector’s Big Box.
  • A PC digital code for the Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition.

While the announcement sidestepped a full graphical overhaul, the collector’s bundle is a clear nod to the enduring love for the Obsidian-developed classic.

Other Major Fallout Day Announcements

Bethesda’s stream also provided updates on the franchise’s live-service titles:

  • Fallout 76: Burning Springs: The next major map expansion was detailed, taking players to Ohio to face the enigmatic Rust King. The update, arriving in December, will introduce a new bounty hunting system featuring Walton Goggins reprising his role as The Ghoul from the Prime Video series.
  • Fallout 76 Next-Gen Update: Native versions of the online RPG for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, promising next-gen enhancements, were teased for 2026.
  • Fallout Shelter: The mobile and PC vault management game is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the introduction of Seasons, new time-limited vault adventures complete with battle passes.
